Southern Antiques and Collectibles and Authentic Fine Wood Carvings
Thursday - Saturday
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Visit Rocky Wade either in his workshop at 103 6th Avenue or on the other side of the historical courthouse at his antiques and collectible store at 102 4th Avenue, Buena Vista, Georgia.
When Rocky is not carving, he is out "pickin" southwest Georgia and east Alabama for unique articles which have the right price. He has glassware, tools, furniture, and just a little of everything.
A self-taught wood carver with a warm, sometimes humorous folk art style, Rocky grew up in this rural community. His creative ideas come from childhood memories of the old South still rebounding from the depression era. With some 25 years of experience his simple southern style of painting and carving take on a whimsical and sometimes sensitive tone. He works with southern grown woods but savors the more northern grown basswood. The facial expressions and clothing detail of the carvings are intriguing.
Please tell him you saw his collection of antiques, collectibles, and carvings on GeorgiaAntiqueTrail.com
Come and spend the day with Rocky; there's a great "meat and three" on the square and a historical courthouse to tour.
